Talkio Is Now on iPhone and Android: Practice Speaking Anywhere

Language practice should fit into real life — not only the moments when you are sitting at a computer.

That is why we are excited to share that Talkio now has native mobile apps for both iPhone and Android.

This is an important step for Talkio. Speaking practice is often most useful when it is easy to start: during a break, before a meeting, while preparing for a trip, or when you simply have ten quiet minutes and want to speak in another language.

Why mobile matters for speaking practice

Learning a language is not only about knowing words. It is about being ready to use them.

With the new Talkio mobile apps, the goal is simple: make it easier to practice real conversations wherever you are. Open the app, choose what you want to practice, and start speaking with your AI language tutor.

For many learners, this changes the feeling of practice. Instead of planning a long study session, you can build smaller speaking habits into the day:

Speaking to a language tutor on your phone feels different from using a web app on a laptop.

Your phone is already the device you use for voice messages, calls, travel plans, and everyday communication. Bringing Talkio to mobile makes the experience feel closer to real-world speaking.

You can use Talkio to practice things like:

The aim is not to turn language learning into another screen-heavy task. The aim is to help you speak more often, with less friction.

Use the same Talkio account across devices

If you already use Talkio on the web, you can log in to the mobile app with the same account details. You do not need to create a separate mobile account.

The same works the other way around. If you sign up on iPhone or Android, you can also log in on the web version of Talkio with the same account and continue practicing there.

This means Talkio can move with you across devices. You might practice a short conversation on your phone, then later use the web app when you want a larger screen or a longer session.

The apps are a work in progress

We also want to be clear: the mobile apps are still a work in progress.

This first native version is an important release, but it is not yet a complete one-to-one adaptation of the Talkio web app. Some features, details, and flows may work differently from the web version, and some web features may arrive later on mobile.

That is intentional. Instead of copying everything at once, we are focusing on making the mobile experience feel good in its own right.

Mobile has different needs. The screen is smaller. The session length is often shorter. The way people speak, listen, pause, and move through the app is different. We want the iPhone and Android apps to become a great mobile speaking experience — not just the web app squeezed into a phone.

What you can expect next

Over time, we will continue improving the apps based on real use and feedback.

Our focus will be on:

• Making speaking practice faster to start
• Improving the flow of conversations
• Making feedback easier to understand on mobile
• Bringing more of the Talkio web experience into the apps
• Polishing the design, performance, and reliability

If something feels unfinished, that does not mean it is forgotten. It means we are still shaping the experience and improving it step by step.

Gradual worldwide rollout

The Talkio mobile apps will gradually become available in more markets around the world.

At launch, the apps may not be published in every country yet. If you cannot find Talkio in your local App Store or Google Play Store, it may simply mean that your country is not included in the current rollout.

We plan to expand availability over time, so more learners worldwide can practice speaking with Talkio on mobile.
